So the Thai New Year just finished up!! We had a 4 day break from the office. So i went to a little island off the bay of Thailand called ko samet. I went with a group of 6 other people. It was a nice time to get aways and just relax. I've been in the city the whole time and it's been so fast paced. Being out there it was just chill and relax. I really needed that! I got a nice tan and got to know people a little more. Which was good. =D When I came back there was a lot of work to do. This past weekend was crazy!
On Saturdays we usually only work half days but I worked from 8am until 5pm. It was pretty much a full day of work. But it was needed. I needed to finish things and get things done before Sunday morning. I gave anouncements at church again on Sunday. But Sunday was a busy day for me. On top of giving anouncements I had to man the sign-up for our service projects in May. I was also in charge for the membership sign up tables. I had to make sure people where there and that everything was going well. It was a crazy day! After church there was a open house for a family that was a refugee, but got sponored and were going to America on Wed! Their story is amazing! The open house was fun. After the open house, there was a wedding at the church. So i attended that also.
When it was said and done I was pooped! I had to take a nap! But praise God that everything went well and there was no problems. Praise God that I had enough energy throughout the day. Praise God that I was not nervous when I was giving the anouncements! =D
After 2 months here at the church I have come to understand the work that goes on behind the services and everything. We as the people, come to church on sunday and we just see the finish product. But people don't understand how much planning and what it takes during the week to make Sunday work! I really appreciate all the efforts that people put in for the services and their hearts to serve the Lord! It's amazing how people will step up to serve when you ask them to! I have come to understand that the body of Christ can do great things and can make a difference in the world if we work together. We need each other and the world needs us! Are we going to make a difference or not?
